The Iron Lotus Foundational Course is a two-day immersive haircutting experience designed to strengthen the principles that every haircut is built upon.
Rather than memorizing steps, you'll learn how to make confident haircutting decisions by understanding the relationship between shape, weight, movement, and support. Every technique is broken down into the why before it's ever practiced behind the chair.
Throughout the weekend, we'll work through three foundational haircutting techniques:
Concave Layering
Convex Layering
Graduation
Each session begins with a focused theory lesson, followed immediately by a hands-on workshop where you'll apply those concepts on a mannequin while receiving individual feedback and coaching throughout the process.
This course is designed for licensed professionals, recent graduates, and educators who want to build a stronger technical foundation and develop a deeper understanding of haircutting—not just reproduce a haircut, but understand how and why it works.

Printed learning materials Your Foundational Course Workbook has been created specifically for this training and includes the complete theory presentations, instructional diagrams, guided note-taking space, and reference material to support both the hands-on experience and your continued learning after the course.
Certificate of Completion

Light breakfast and coffee provided each morning
Enrollment is limited to 15 participants, creating an interactive learning environment where every attendee receives meaningful feedback and individualized coaching throughout the weekend.
Keeping the class intentionally small allows for continuous instruction, open discussion, and one-on-one coaching that simply isn't possible in a larger classroom.
These 15 participants will become the Founding Class of the Iron Lotus Foundational Course.
Course Investment:$750
A $100 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your seat.
The remaining balance is due prior to Oct 10th
Participants who enroll on or before August 21st, 2026 are eligible for the Founding Class Tuition Plan.
After the initial $100 non-refundable deposit, the remaining tuition will be divided into four equal payments, automatically processed every two weeks, beginning August 28th, 2026.
